Land Clearing
Brush, stumps, and timber gone. We take overgrown, snake-infested acreage down to clean, workable ground.
Grown boys with big toys
Land clearing, grading, house pads, ponds and driveways — done right the first time by the man who owns the machines. H2 Dirt Wrk is Southwest Louisiana’s owner-operated dirt work outfit.
You deal with Alvin, not a call center. The man who quotes it runs the machine.
Walk the land together, get one honest number. No surprises when the dust settles.
Excavator, dozer and support equipment on hand — sized right for your acreage.
Born and based in Southwest Louisiana. We know this gumbo mud better than anybody.
What we do
From raw, overgrown acreage to a pad you can pour on — if it takes moving earth, it’s our kind of job.

Brush, stumps, and timber gone. We take overgrown, snake-infested acreage down to clean, workable ground.

Laser-eye grades for slabs, yards and pastures. Water runs where we tell it to — away from your house.

Compacted, elevated pads built to spec for homes, shops and barns. A solid start for everything you build on it.

Stock ponds dug and shaped, ditches cut, culverts set. Standing water becomes moving water — or a place to fish.

Gravel drives, limestone bases and farm roads that hold up through a Louisiana wet season — not wash out in one.

Old structures, slabs and debris torn out and hauled away. We leave the site cleaner than we found it.
Don’t see your project? If it involves dirt, call anyway.
Talk it over with AlvinThe big toys
The right machine turns a two-week headache into a two-day job. Meet the fleet.

Digs · Tears out · Loads · Shapes
The heartbeat of the operation. Ponds, ditches, stump removal, demolition and precise trench work — the excavator does surgical work at a brutal scale.

Pushes · Grades · Clears · Packs
When acreage needs to move, the dozer moves it. Clearing brush lines, cutting grades, pushing up pads and roughing in roads — raw pushing power with a fine touch on the blade.

Finishes · Spreads · Cleans · Details
The detail machine. Once the big iron does the heavy lifting, the skid steer spreads gravel, finishes grades, and gets into the tight spots the big machines can’t.
The man behind the machines
H2 Dirt Wrk is owned and operated by Alvin Horn — a Louisiana boy who grew up on machines and never got over it. What started as a love for big toys turned into a dirt work outfit built on one simple idea: do the job like it’s your own land.
No crews of strangers, no runaround, no fine print. When you hire H2, the guy who shook your hand is the guy in the cab — and he doesn’t leave until the water drains right, the pad packs tight, and you’re grinning at your property.
The brand on the iron.
The H2 standard
Every grade checked. Every pad packed. Every site left clean.
How it works
Call or email Alvin directly. Tell him what you’ve got and what you want it to become.
He comes out, walks the property with you, and looks at the dirt, the water and the access.
One honest number for the whole job. What he quotes is what you pay — period.
The iron rolls in, the work gets done right, and the site gets left clean. Then you build.
Where we work
Based in the 337 and proud of it. H2 Dirt Wrk runs jobs across Southwest Louisiana’s parishes — and for the right project, we’ll roll the trailers a little further.
Outside the map? Call anyway — diesel is cheaper than doing it twice.
Straight answers
Every piece of land is different, so every job gets its own honest quote. Alvin walks the property with you first, then gives one straight number — no hourly meter running, no surprise add-ons. Estimates are always free.
Call and find out — scheduling depends on the season and the weather. Because it’s owner-operated, you get a real answer from the real schedule, not a “we’ll get back to you.”
This is Southwest Louisiana — wet ground is the job. Drainage, fill, elevation and compaction are exactly what we do. If your land holds water, that’s the first problem we solve.
Absolutely. Flag what stays and it stays. Selective clearing is standard practice — we take out the junk and protect the oaks.
Nope. Most folks walk the land with Alvin once, agree on the plan, and come back to finished dirt. You’ll get updates along the way if you want them.
Southwest Louisiana — Calcasieu, Jeff Davis, Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Vermilion, Cameron and Lafayette parishes. For bigger projects, we’ll travel further. Just ask.
